Pray for youth in our congregations and communities, recognizing the challenges they face, celebrating the joys they experience and showing gratitude for what they add to our faith communities, which need the gifts of all generations to do God’s work in the world.

April 11
Give thanks that God is always doing something new in and through us, wonderful things that impact others when they witness Christ’s awesome love reflected in our lives as disciples.
April 10
Lift up in prayer farmers, ranchers and agricultural workers. Give thanks for their efforts to feed the world and care for creation, and pray for abundant harvests.
April 9
Seek God’s forgiveness and mercy for the times when we have hurt, offended or demeaned others, intentionally or unintentionally. Pray for the Spirit to grant us humility, penitent hearts and a compassion that stirs us to make amends and heal broken relationships.
May 5
Thank God for the ELCA’s special relationship with the United Church of Christ, a full communion partner since 1997. Pray for the church, its members and its leaders, that together we will find strength and resources for the work of sharing the gospel and serving our neighbor.
March 31
Ask the Spirit to equip, inspire and guide us as ambassadors of Christ in the world, children of God who love our neighbors in need and share the good news with everyone.
March 30
Hallelujah! God’s loving embrace surpasses our wildest hopes, restoring us as God’s children through the life, suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Give thanks for the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association (ELEA), which supports, equips and encourages Lutheran educators, and for our congregations’ faith-based day care centers and preschools, which provide safe and nurturing environments for faith formation.

God’s pardon of our human shortcomings and sin can never be earned or bought. Pray that, forgiven and freed in Jesus Christ, we will respond with gratitude, compassion and mercy for others.

Give thanks forELCA Ministries of Diverse Cultures and Communities, which works with ELCA congregations, synods, agencies and institutions to make the church more culturally diverse, anti-racist and inclusive of all God’s children.
